We are delighted that you are considering NGS PRESCHOOL. Children may join in any year group (and in many cases throughout the year) depending on place availability. The earliest possible entry to NGS PRESCHOOLis on reaching the age of two. There are a maximum number of places in each year group. Parents should be aware that there may be waiting lists for particular year groups and therefore early registration is advised.

Choosing the right school is important and we want to do all we can to help you decide whether NGS PRESCHOOL is right for your child.

Our website provides all the facts, but by visiting us and talking with our staff you will get a real feel for the school.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

PLAYGROUP

The child must be over 2 years, toilet trained and should be able to tell name and follow simple instructions.

RECEPTION

The child must be over 3 years, toilet trained and should be able to communicate well with the teacher. Reception children are expected to settle down quickly and make friends.

PREPARATORY

The child must be over 4 years and should have attended at least 1 year of Preschool. Basic knowledge of number work and literacy is essential.

Admission procedure

Admission to NGS PRESCHOOL takes place throughout the year, subject to availability of places. The admission process is as follows:

1. Parent’s Visit:

Prospective parents are invited to begin the admission process with a private tour of the school. It can be directly scheduled by calling the admission office or filling out the online admission inquiry form.

2. Parent’s Interview/Student’s Visit:

Prospective parents and students meet the Coordinator for an informal discussion. Parents are encouraged to take an awareness round of the school, while the child is assessed by the Principal.

3. Admission Criterion:

Our programme relies heavily on the interest and time commitment of parents. We will offer a seat to the child after being certain that the parent understands our programme and makes a commitment to assume a partnership role with the school in the interest of the child.

4. Notification:

The admission cycle takes place three times a year (August, December and March). Decisions for admission are made on a rolling basis throughout the academic year as seats become available. Parents will receive a response approximately one week later on a selected number of applications.

5. Waiting List:

Information on the waiting list will be sent if needed.
